Rabbi Rafi Kaiserblueth

Rafi Kaiserblueth was born in Puerto Rico, USA and grew up in Los Angeles, California. He went to Israel for his first year out of high school on the Nativ Program and eventually earned a degree in Military History from Columbia University in New York and a degree in Talmud from the Jewish Theological Seminary, New York concurrently.

Following graduation, he lived and worked in Argentina with the Jewish community, both in Buenos Aires and in the provinces to the north. It was during this year of work and immersion that Rafi decided to apply to Seminary and entered the following year to begin the process of becoming a rabbi.

While studying, Rafi also found time to drive an ambulance in Manhattan and join the United States Navy Chaplain Candidate Program. Rafi was ordained with a concentration in Pastoral Care as well as a Masters in Jewish Studies. Along with his connection to SAMS, Rafi also was instrumental in helping to establish the new Masorti community of Elstree & Borehamwood.

Rafi has been the visiting scholar and residence to St Albans Masorti Synagogue since December 2007 and now following ordination, Rafi has taken over as Rabbi at St Albans Masorti Synagogue. Along with his posting at SAMS, he is also a Reserve Chaplain with the United States Navy Chaplain Corps.
